One of the most coveted game species on the planet, a hunt for Argali will leave the sportsmen with ever lasting memories!
Hume or Kyrgyz Argali, Kyrgyzstan
Hunting Season: January 01 – March 01 and August 15 – November 20.* (We recommend October and November as the best times to hunt)
Hours from civilisation, where the capra and ovis are most abundant, our private hunting grounds are some of the best in the country offering the highest opportunity to achieve a successful hunt. With the rise in popularity of Kyrgyzstan as a hunting destination over the last decade many bogus outfitters have appeared, although the Government is now clamping down on this booking direct with a Kyrgyz outfitter can be risky. We have worked in Kyrgyzstan since 2010 and have experienced both good and bad outfitters. We are now in the position to offer hunters the opportunity to pursue 2 different subspecies of Argali in Kyrgyzstan, we feel therefore, that there is no one better than real Big 5 to organise your Kyrgyzstan experience.
If you have read our Real Big 5 Ovis tab, you will know that the Marco Polo will not venture below 3000 meters, and have a stamina, speed and wariness beyond most game. Our base camps are at 3200 meters meaning that you are sleeping at the foot of Marco Polo territory, with the opportunity of hunting the sheep anywhere up to 4500 meters on horseback. The extreme altitude at which this hunt is conducted will be the hunters biggest enemy.Argali will only ever venture as low as 3000m in the extreme conditions of a Tian Shan winter

Although extremely tough climbing and conditions the Marco Polo is quite achievable with the hunter often being able to take horses to within a good stalking distance of beasts.
Depending on the area being hunted, either Issyk-Kul or Naryn, accommodation is in either our own private hunting hut or a heated yurt.
We can accommodate up to 4 hunters in each area, with extra room for non – hunters. We do not normally recommend more than 4 hunters on one of our hunting grounds, for risk of not all sportsmen being able to achieve their trophies.
Additional Trophie of Mid Asian Ibex & Wolf can also be harvested.
