A Hunt for Rocky Mountain Goat is, in our opinion, some of the most rewarding and exciting capra hunting available!
Rocky Mountain Goat Hunting Trip, Alaska
Hunting Season: August 1st – December 31st
(We organise hunts in the first 2 weeks of October, this way the goats will be in their winter coats and hopefully the weather willnot be too bad.
A hunt in Alaska is an experience that lives beyond expectations, and a trip that every sportsman must try at least once, on some level. With an estimated 39,000 – 65,500 Mountain Goats in North America, with roughly 33,000 living in Alaska it is the obvious location to secure oreamnos americanus. To be able to conduct that hunt on Kodiak island, a location World famous for it’s quantity and quality of wildlife, makes this hunt, in our opinion, one of the best in Alaska.

Goat harvest numbers in Alaska are second only to British Colombia in Canada. Due to the strict harvest laws and tag system in place in the United States, it is necessary to win a lottery in order to draw a permit to hunt a goat in Alaska. It is because of this draw system that the hunting in Alaska is considerably better value than in neighbouring Canada, where you can expect to be paying 2 – 3 times the price you will pay with us. Entering the draws is a simple process that we will walk you through step by step, or enter on your behalf. The draw is not guaranteed by we enter in areas that not only is the trophy quality good, but where you have good draw odds compared with other states or locations.
A hunt for Mountain Goat is hard, they reside in tough terrain, favouring rocky slopes and Mountain tops. This is a wilderness hunt, requiring a good physical fitness. Sportsmen will be expected to hike considerable distances carrying their equipment, and if necessary their harvested animal.

The two biggest obstacles for the hunter on this Goat hunt are his or her own physical fitness, and the weather. Alaska is known for its changing and unpredictable weather and Kodiak Island is reknowned for being beautiful, but wet, so please be prepared for rain.
We operate throughout Europe, including Turkey and across several continents, including Africa and Oceania.
